Job Opening: Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer/Lead Software Engineer
Software Engineers are responsible for development of enterprise analytics software supporting, mining and analyzing huge volumes of data. This position requires ability to work well within a team structure and to deliver on specific tasks, keenness to explore requirements and work proactively towards identifying gaps, and adherence to general work processes.
Requirements:
We are looking for talented back-end developers with at least 2 years of related industry experience. The ideal candidates should be detail oriented, and willing to learn new technologies and utilize them as part of building software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Strong experience in object oriented development using Java or C++
Experience developing with server technologies in a UNIX/Linux environment
Experience in Python or similar scripting languages
Experience with Hadoop, HDFS, or other related Big Data analysis/processing platforms, such as Pig, Hive, HBase, or Avro
Experience with SQL and relational databases, such as MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
Experience building scalable and reusable components
Experience integrating with third party software (commercial and open source)
Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.
Experience in web development is a plus, such as one or more of Tomcat, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node.js, jQuery, Ajax, etc.
Experience in J2EE frameworks is a plus, such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate, etc.
