We are a small group of futures trading and research operation. The research platform has been build up over the past few years. It covers a rich collection of futures data, and some data manipulation tools for analysis and modeling.
Our management structure is modern. Communications among the group is primarily via the internet. Each group member is expected to be self-managed., disciplined, goal-oriented, and self-motivated. Working schedule is flexible.
Our proprietary research is mathematically and statistically advanced. Many of the models deploy ideas that go beyond standard and conventional analytic techniques.
We are currently looking to expand the research capabilities. There are two positions to be filled in China. Both positions report directly to the head of the group. The person(s) should be ready to commit multi-year, full time. Compensations will be competitive or better, with year-end bonus depending on individual and group performances.
Position #1: Research analyst
Compensation:
RMB 8000-20000/month, plus year-end bonus.
Responsibility:
1. Implement mathematical/statistical models using our existing research platform and data tools.
2. Depending on the person's capability, carry out modeling calculations and semi-independent analytical research under the guidance of the group head.
Qualifications:
1. Strong in math, preferably in statistics and probability (Ph.D. level);
2. Strong in programming, preferably in R, C++, and Excel;
3. Good oral and written communication skills; some English capability;
4. Some background in finance (optional).
Position #1: R and C++ programmer
Compensation:
RMB about 8000/month depending on experience, plus year-end bonus.
Responsibility:
1. Help build a R library of data and functions;
2. Depending on the person's capability, carry out other programming tasks such as: assistance in modeling, enrichment of and expansion to our research platform.
Qualifications:
1. Programming experience in R;
2. Experience in building analytic libraries of functions, preferably in R;
3. Good communication skills; some English capability;
4. Some basic understanding in finance (optional).
