The bulk of our statistical knowledge ultimately originates from those well-composed books of statistics. There are literally a sea of statistical books. The only efficient way of absorbing the knowledge locked inside is through collaboration.
Thus been said, I hereby propose a Book Digest project based on the cos.name platform.
The ideal format need not be fixed, but to give a generic idea, it could be one single thread holding the book digest, a second or further threads holding discussions with references to the posts of the first thread. The author of the initial digest will be responsible to modify her composition to incorporate the merits of the discussion.
Students and researchers are expected to benefit from each other when they participate in it. The key to the project's success is an enterprising and yet self-disciplined collaborative environment.
Any suggestions solicited!
